So I had a bad day at work.  Unfortunatley a coworker decided to try and get me in trouble in several different ways.  I am greatful that all my other coworkers decided to stick up for me but at the same time I wanted resolution with this coworker.  I decided I needed to talk to her because I didn’t like hearing what others were saying and I wanted it to stop, for everyone.

I approached the person at the end of the day and she gave me an earful of nothing.  No validity to any of it.  I ended up telling her that I preferred that she come to me, not anyone else or that I would not put up with this type of behavior and that I would not do this to her and that is why I was coming to her rather than letting any of this continue. I may have been a little harsh with my tone but she was trying to get me in trouble, even fired.  So the conversation didn’t end well.

By the way, I went to my boss and she said she was glad I did what I did.  She also told me that my coworker was trying to get me in trouble but it didn’t work because my other coworkers had already complained about what she was doing to me.

I don’t mind confrontation if it leads to resolution.  I don’t like it when it is still in the air.  I told all my coworkers to treat her right and not to get involved and that the best thing they can do is to work peacefully.  I just feel like I could have been a little nicer about wanting her to come to me first.  Any suggestions?  How would you feel if a coworker was trying to get you fired?

I am feeling creatively zapped to come up with an interesting post.  I keep coming back to my blog and go blank.  Not sure what the problem is.  I think the weather is destroying my creative brain neuron conduction synapsis process from functioning properly.  And what in the world is with all the static electricity going on? My son just walked by me and shocked the bagebbies out of me from two feet away without touching me!  It’s probably the dreadful weather causing all the problems.

Everyone knows I don’t care much for Starbucks.  Today I decided to stop by and get a skinny caramel latte.  I took Ginger along for the ride.  When I pulled up to the window the lady asked me if I wanted a Puppacino also.  I could not believe it!  Ginger was in heaven.  It was just foam from the steamed milk.  Happy puppy!  Thanks Starbucks!!! Ginger’s a fan!  Starbuck Pup!  I wonder if Tulley’s has a Puppacino?

Jim and I love to go to Tully’s Coffee in Tacoma.  It sits on a wonderful corner on Broadway in Tacoma, Washington.  They have a grand piano (Jim loves to play it)  They only let you play it if you can.  It is such a great place to relax.  Then up and down the street are a bunch of antique shops.  My favorite place in Tacoma!

Here is a photo taken years ago.  Not sure how long ago but it shows you how cool it sits on the corner!

I was reading Dennis Papp’s blog about coffee voters-check it out here!

His blog prompted me to post the video.  If you like coffee, you will appreciate this video!

(I’m actually a Tully’s fan)

Okay, so this is getting old.  Ginger is sick again.  She is really dehydrated and her blood work came back showing infection.  She won’t eat or drink.  They injected her with fluid in her back.  Her body will slowly absorb the fluid.  Pretty unique thing.  No IV fluids.  I just want her to get better!

Thanks Rachel for the requested update on Ginger!  Ginger is back to her normal self! Feeling great and learning some tricks.  She can shake and sit. I guess sit is not a trick but kinda cool. It only took me a total of 40 minutes(split up over a couple days) for her to do it on her own even without a treat.  I am so proud of her.  I am going to slowly work on some other things with her.  She is so fun.  Ginger wants everyone to know that she will be back to shopping soon. Her mommy bought her a new sweater yesterday.

Well, Ginger is sick.  She started choking and gagging a few days ago and today she has been vomiting.  I took her to the emergency vet and they said she has kennel cough.  As soon as I got her home she got worse.  Now she can’t hold anything down.  She has had a rough day.  I tried to get her medicine down after all the puking but that didn’t work.  I will try later.  The vet said her tonsils are swollen.  I asked her if she was getting sick from all of Dennis’ comments about her wardrobe and the vet said this was highly unlikely but could cause some self esteem issues(from the comments not the clothes Dennis!).  She said she got it from animal control from where we adopted her.  Poor thing.  At least she prefers to puke on our tile floor instead of the carpet.  Such a good dog!  Dennis, you got lucky!

This is just for Dennis!  Don’t you love it!  Jim is such a great designer pooch pup pop pastor don’t ya think!

sleep-mask.jpg

So I’ve decided to start a post series on consumer products.  Toilet tissue was my first.  Today I was surfing for unusual consumer items and came across the GLO SLEEP MASK!

This has to be one of the most rediculous, expensive things I have ever seen, $99 smackaroos.  I don’t think I would be able to fall asleep at all.

‘The inside of the foam mask has four luminescent dots in front of each eye (which can be activated by a bedside lamp). By staring up at the highest dots you influence your brainwaves, turning them from beta (thinking, processing information) to alpha (physical and mental relaxation). Simply . . . it will switch off your mind! So tuck yourself in, and let the magic take hold.’

I know what you are thinking, your wondering if you can take this into your next staff meeting to turn you from beta to alpha!  Or when you are having the inlaws over for dinner.

How in the world does the bedside lamp activate the mask?  Is it like glo in the dark material that you have to activate by removing the lamp shade, stare at the light bulb and voila-slumber!  Do you sleep sitting up?  I’ll bet Houdini is rolling over in his grave right now!

Don’t ask me to purchase these.  I don’t think God would find this to be a particulary good stewardship purchase.  I may call them-stay tuned for a conclusion!
